FAQ

What are your pieces made from?

Our coasters and trivets are Portuguese cork, hand-cut wool felt (100% Australian merino), Belgian linen, and quarried Vermont slate. Each product page lists the specific material for that piece.

Can they handle a hot mug or pan?

Yes — cork and slate coasters are heat-safe up to about 200°C (390°F). Felt coasters are best for cool-to-warm drinks (up to ~80°C / 175°F). Trivets are rated for hot pans straight off the stovetop.

Are they non-slip?

Cork and felt grip most table surfaces naturally. Slate coasters have four small rubber feet on the underside to protect glass and lacquered tables.

How do I clean them?

Cork and slate wipe clean with a damp cloth. Felt coasters spot-clean with cool water and mild soap — don't machine wash (the fibers will felt further and shrink). Linen placemats are machine-washable on cold, hang to dry.

How many come in a set?

Coasters ship as sets of 4. Placemats ship as sets of 2. Trivets and desk objects are sold individually. The quantity per set is listed on each product page.

Will the colors fade?

Natural cork develops a warmer patina over time — some customers prefer this, some don't. Wool felt and dyed linen hold their color well if kept out of direct sunlight for long periods.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes — a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects (loose stitching, unfinished edges, cracked slate). Reach out with photos if something isn't right.

Do you offer bulk or gift orders?

Yes — email us for orders of 10+ units. We can gift-wrap in kraft paper and split the shipment to multiple addresses if you're sending gifts.
